Our Story (We Are…)

Made of sugar and spice and all that’s nice, and we’re made of snips and snails and puppy-dogs’ tails.

No seriously, we really are made up of all that, and lots more… Because we are made up of stories: an ever- and ever growing-anthology… a collection crafted of the curiosities, discoveries, creativity, imaginations, learnings, achievements, failures, and secrets of all the children who have been, are and will become a part of Bubble Blue.

And we’re a home away from home for these children. We’re a safe haven and a sacred space, where they can be themselves and learn to become a better version of themselves, someday in the future.

We are an Integrated Daycare and Montessori House(pre-school) –
for children from age six months to twelve years.

Why Bubble Blue?

Bubble Blue was started in 2007, based on these principles, in order to build a nurturing and empowering environment where your children have space and tools to blossom to their truest potential. As Dr Maria Montessori would say, ‘the children are now working as if I did not exist.’

After all, childhood need not just become a growing up phase but can be a powerful space that allows our young ones to explore and challenge as well as learn and create. This is holistic-education that places your child at the centre of it all. Working together with you, the parents and guardians, we help your children to develop their physical, social, cognitive, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

And as proud members of the ECA (Early Childhood Association), we are committed to advocate, discuss, learn and share, connect and bring about a change in the quality of care development and learning in early childhood, not just in Kolkata but across the country.

In addition to being a Montessori for the age group of six months to twelve years, Bubble Blue has also, since 2015, been providing a custom course that teaches the Indian Montessori methodology.

Every single piece of equipment is of the highest quality and we have invested substantially in appropriate learning aids, including books and toys, in order to ensure that your child’s learning experience is fun yet safe.

Founder Directress

I am delighted to introduce myself as Nabanita, the founder and principal of Bubble Blue, a daycare centre and playschool committed to the Montessori philosophy. My journey from the banking sector to education has been shaped by a rich academic background: an MSc(Economics) from Calcutta University and an MBA in Marketing from IISWBM.

In my pursuit of excellence in early childhood education, I’ve earned several vital qualifications, including a Montessori Diploma (3 to 6) from the Indian Montessori Centre, a NAMC Diploma (0-3), an AMI Montessori (3-6) Orientation, and an AMI Montessori (0-3) Orientation from the esteemed Maria Montessori Institute in the UK. These qualifications underline my dedication to aligning Bubble Blue with the highest standards in Montessori education, emphasizing the agency and imagination of each child for their holistic development.

Beyond its commitment to the Montessori philosophy, Bubble Blue stands out for its organizational capability and operational efficiency. Our team is passionately dedicated to creating an environment that nurtures growth and imagination during the critical early childhood years. We are not just educators but facilitators of confidence, encouraging our young learners to take risks and pursue their passions.

Hello! I am Nilendu Mukherjee and I am a highly motivated and seasoned corporate banker with 25 years of banking experience. I excel in driving organizational growth and value by translating client needs into competitive product offerings. Throughout my career, I have contributed to international banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO/RBS, FAB, and Rabobank.

With exceptional insight and integrity, I, as a loyal and open leader, focus on transparency and best practice principles. My approach is supported by in-depth technical and fiscal expertise.

Beyond the corporate realm, I am also an accomplished Ultra Trail Marathoner, Finisher of Goa IM 70.3, and an advanced level Scuba Diver.
