  3. Visit the centre, meet the educators, and get a feel for the environment.
  4. Submit the required documents and complete the fee registration to confirm your child’s seat.

We encourage families to schedule a visit and trial day before finalising admission.

When does the new academic session begin?

The main academic session at Bubble Blue begins in April, aligning with the West Bengal academic calendar. However, we accept mid-session admissions throughout the year subject to seat availability. The current session is 2026–27. Contact us to check availability for your child’s age group.

What documents are required for admission?

The following documents are typically required at the time of admission:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Passport-size photographs of the child
  • Immunisation / vaccination record
  • Parent / guardian ID and address proof
  • Any previous school records (for children transferring mid-session)

Our team will guide you through the documentation process at the time of enrolment.

Can I visit the centre before enrolling my child?

Absolutely — we actively encourage centre visits before admission. You can schedule a guided tour at any of our three centres (Salt Lake, New Town Action Area I, or New Town DH Block). During the visit, you will meet our educators, see our classrooms and outdoor play areas, and understand our daily routine. To book a visit, call us or fill in the enquiry form.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, a one-time registration / admission fee is payable at the time of enrolment to confirm your child’s seat. This fee is separate from the monthly tuition and daycare fees. Please contact your nearest Bubble Blue centre for the current fee schedule, as it may vary by programme and age group.

Programmes & Curriculum

What is the difference between Daycare and Preschool at Bubble Blue?

Preschool at Bubble Blue is our structured early-childhood education programme (2.5 – 6 years) following the Montessori method. It runs for defined school hours (morning/midday sessions).

Daycare is our full-day childcare service for children from 6 months to 12 years, covering infants and toddlers who are too young for preschool, children who attend the preschool and need extended care, and school-age children (6–12 years) who need after-school supervision and activities.

Many families combine both — their child attends Montessori preschool classes in the morning and stays on in daycare for the rest of the day.

What is the Montessori method and how does Bubble Blue use it?

The Montessori method, developed by Dr Maria Montessori, is a child-led approach to education where children are free to choose and work at their own pace within a carefully prepared environment. Key principles include:

  • Hands-on learning — children learn by doing, using purpose-built Montessori materials
  • Mixed-age classrooms — older children mentor younger ones, building leadership and empathy
  • Freedom with responsibility — children develop self-discipline and concentration naturally
  • Holistic development — equal emphasis on cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth

At Bubble Blue, all our preschool educators are trained in the Montessori approach, and our classrooms are equipped with authentic Montessori learning materials.

What are the school and daycare timings?

Our centres are open Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM and Saturday, 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM.

Typical preschool session timings:

  • Morning session: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Full-day preschool: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Daycare extended hours: From 7:30 AM (drop-off) to 7:30 PM (pick-up)

Exact session timings are confirmed at the time of enrolment and may vary slightly by centre.

What activities and extracurriculars do you offer?

Beyond the core Montessori curriculum, Bubble Blue offers a wide range of enrichment activities:

  • Music, dance, and movement
  • Art and craft
  • Yoga and mindfulness
  • Outdoor play and sports (football, cycling, swimming excursions)
  • Science exploration and experiments
  • Storytelling and dramatics
  • Cooking and practical-life skills
  • Field trips and community outings

These activities are integrated into the daily schedule and are included as part of the programme.

  • Morning snack — fruits, milk, or light bites on arrival
  • Lunch — a balanced hot meal with dal/sabzi/rice/roti or an equivalent
  • Evening snack — light snacks for children staying for extended daycare

Our kitchen maintains hygiene standards and caters to common dietary preferences. Parents can inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of enrolment and we will accommodate these wherever possible.

The schedule is adapted for each age group and may vary day to day based on theme weeks or special events.

How do you ensure the safety and security of my child?

Child safety is our top priority at Bubble Blue:

  • CCTV monitoring — all centres are under 24×7 CCTV surveillance; parents can request access on prior notice
  • Controlled entry/exit — only authorised adults on the parent’s pre-approved list may pick up a child
  • Verified staff — all educators and support staff undergo background verification before joining
  • Child-safe premises — rounded furniture, safety gates, age-appropriate equipment, and childproofed spaces
  • First aid — trained staff on-site at all times; paediatric first aid kits available
  • Emergency protocols — fire drills, emergency contact procedures, and medical emergency response plans are in place

What is the student-to-educator ratio?

We maintain low student-to-educator ratios to ensure every child receives individual attention:

  • Infants (6 – 12 months): 3:1
  • Toddlers (1 – 2.5 years): 5:1
  • Preschool (2.5 – 6 years): 8–10:1 (with a lead Montessori teacher and an assistant)
  • After-school Daycare (6 – 12 years): 12:1

These ratios are maintained throughout the day, including during meals and outdoor play.

Bubble Blue is an inclusive environment and we believe every child deserves quality early childhood care. We welcome children with mild to moderate developmental needs where our setting can provide appropriate support.
